1/4 cup unsalted butter 🧈
1/4 cup all-purpose flour 🍚
1/2 tsp salt 🧂
1/4 tsp black pepper 🌶️
1/4 tsp paprika (optional) 🌶️
2 cups milk 🥛
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 🧀
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until it’s fully melted and incorporated into the sauce.
Layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish.
Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
Repeat the process with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, then remove the foil.
Continue baking for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly.
