Banana Bread Brownies
Ingredients:
– 4 ripe bananas (mashed)
– 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1/2 cup butter (softened)
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix the butter, granulated sugar, and sour cream until smooth.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Stir in the mashed bananas.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined. If using walnuts or chocolate chips, fold them in at this point.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
