creamy and cheesy
This Mac n Cheese recipe is so creamy and cheesy perfect for a family of 4-6 for a quick and easy weekday dinner. Leftovers make a delicious lunch the next day.
You will only need-
•1/2-lb. sharp cheddar shredded
•1/2-lb. Gruyere or Swiss shredded
•3-cups of whole milk heated
•1-tsp of salt
•1/2-lb of macaroni
•4-tbs of butter
•1-tbs of flour
1-Shred the cheese and reserve 1/2 cup of each
2-Cook your pasta half way of recommended time
3-In a saucepan melt the butter
4-Add the flour and whisk for a couple minutes until it thickens
5-Add the milk and whisk until this thickens 3-5 minutes
6-Remove from the heat and add all the shredded cheese (but not the reserved 1-cup) and stir until it is all melted
7-Add the cooked pasta and fold until completely combined
8-Pour this into a well buttered baking dish, 8×10 or similar size
9-Top with the remaining shredded cheese
10-Into a pre heated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. I let mine bake a little longer because I love the crispy brown cheesy top.
